My First Major Deep Cleanse!

Hello Everyone,

I would like to start off by saying this isn’t a pretty post and you’ve been warned. In my last blog post, I mentioned I was going through a cleanse, specifically it was a Liver Cleanse. It lasted 5 days, but you are technically still cleansing once you finish since you are still giving rid of toxins a few days after. The end result was amazing and I honestly couldn’t be happier! I found out about this cleanse through my sister, Elli who is very holistic and focuses more on natural products when it comes to healing the body. She’s also trying to convince me to go Vegan, but I ain’t there yet sista. 😉

Anyways, the main products are from Global Healing Center and they have all sorts of types of cleanses and health kits you can do. I chose the Liver Cleanse because frankly, I needed it because of my extracurricular activities. Hey, I’m not perfect. I like to drink, smoke, and eat like there’s no tomorrow sometimes. But after completing my first major intense cleanse, I really feel it’s necessary to do one at least once a year. You’d be surprised of the shit that will come out of your body (no pun intended). This Liver Cleanse Kit is an all natural approach to cleansing and rejuvenating your liver and gallbladder. This multi-tiered approach uses the power of Livatrex to kick start your liver’s natural cleansing abilities and Oxy-Powder to facilitate toxin removal. So if you’re in any way interested, keep reading to see my end results.

What Do You Need?

  1. LIVATREX
  2. OXY-POWDER
  3. 16 oz. Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar
  4. 3 gallons Distilled Water (recommended), or purified water
  5. 1 tablespoon of USP Epsom Salt
  6. 6 oz. Organic Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  7. Healthy Foods

**I would recommend starting your cleanse on a Tuesday (Day 1), you’ll know why soon.

Mixing

The day after I mixed the formula (Day 1), I put the mix in 5 empty water bottles to take to work. Three with the ACV Mix and two with the Liver Cleanse Mix. And working in an office, it wasn’t difficult at all. I actually found it easier than on Day 4 when I was home on a Saturday.

rules

During days 1-4 for breakfast, I would stick to apples, grapes, pears, and bananas. For lunch and dinner, I would eat salads with chicken, avocado, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts and with a light vinaigrette dressing. I would hold off on the protein for dinner though. For snacks, I would eat either a multi-grain granola bar or more fresh fruit. I would do 30 mins of cardio, followed by stretches, and leg/arm/ab exercises.

Day 5 Food Options:

Day 5 was a Sunday for me. For breakfast I had watermelon, lunch I had the avocado option and for dinner, I did the beet/carrot juice. Now that the easy part is done with, it’s on this day starting at 7pm that it started getting tough for me. First of all, chugging the water with Epsom salt was obviously not good. When 9pm rolled around it was time to take the olive oil down, I was just so glad I had a little bit of orange juice to mix it in.

During “Flush Night” (Day 6) I woke up at 1am feeling extremely nauseous and I even threw up. =/ I went back to sleep and woke up again around 4am having the same feeling. I went back to sleep and woke up to my alarm. I still felt little nauseous and with the feeling of wanting to throw up. I ended up taking the day off from work. I took the 6 pills of Oxy-Powder shortly after waking up too. According to Dr. Elli, the more nausea and vomiting you experience during your cleanse, the more toxins that were in your body. So apparently, I had a whole fucking lot! But wait, there’s more…

TMI Part – Around 3pm I finally went to the bathroom. It was smooth sailing, but what came out was even crazier and a complete shock. It’s not like I went and dug through my 💩, but even from a distance, you can actually see the stones in there. I will provide an example of what it looks like below. I’ve read some reviews where one person had 150 stones come out!

My Results:

Throughout the course of the week, I was really surprised at the amount of natural energy I had. I wasn’t drinking coffee at all and this is coming from a girl who would have her vanilla lattes every morning. I felt light, happy and I actually felt like working out. The major difference that I noticed was in my stomach. I was extremely bloated before. After being in New Orleans I went crazy on the food out there and after Thanksgiving, I thought it would be a good time to start my cleanse. I regret not taking a before picture, I kind of just jumped into it and I didn’t think I was going to blog about it. But after these results, this was the boost I needed to get back on track and to really start taking care of my body. I ended up losing 6 pounds too!

To This Date:

I’m still sticking to healthy food options and going to the gym 3x during the week. I haven’t had the urge to drink. In fact, I’m a bit scared now that I might get hammered after one drink..haha. I smoked weed for the first time this past Tuesday, but even with that my tolerance has gone way down. With everything being said, I would most definitely recommend this to everybody who needs that extra push in the right direction. I promise you will not regret it!

A special THANK YOU to my wise sister, Elli for introducing me to this! Love you sis!

Til next time guys!

Goin’ Gorillaz #OOTN

Hiya Guys,

So, this past Wednesday night I got the chance to see the Gorillaz LIVE and they were beyond amazing!! This year I’ve been blessed to have the opportunity to attend a lot of concerts and festivals. This show went straight to the top of being the best concert! They played all the classics and some newer songs from their most recent album called “Humanz”. I would definitely recommend seeing them in concert. I apologize in advance the not so great quality on the video. The next one will be better, I promise! Crazy for Cuco Puffs #OOTN

Hiya Guys! ^_^

I hope you all had an amazing weekend! Mine was well spent, but on Friday night the crew and I headed over to Rickshaw Stop to see Cuco perform. By the way, I love this venue when it comes to finding new talent/up and coming artists. But, I recently discovered his music and automatically fell in with “We Had to End it” because it gives me that 50’s old school Mexican vibe. The kid is young, but he’s got mad skills (Peep below). As far as my outfit, I wanted to be cute, but casual at the same time. This venue is more on the ordinary and grungy side, therefore you wouldn’t want to wear your hooker heels and hoochie dress to it. 😉 Also, I always prefer wearing a closed toe shoe when going to a concert. You know, just in case a drunky steps on me and murders my baby toe (Plenty of bad experiences). =( The deets on my outfit will be listed below as well. Until later loves!
